Sea Sediment Jasper beads are wrapped in uncoated brass wire. These bangles are easy on and easy off and slightly bendable. The closure is turned inward and will not catch on clothing.
The 10 mm (slightly smaller than 1/2 inch) semi-precious gemstone beads are beautiful. Jasper is in the quartz family and is said to have protective qualities.
As for brass, because it contains copper and zinc, minerals essential to the human body, it is believed that wearing brass jewelry can improve health and reduce copper and zinc deficiencies. It boosts the immune system and gives courage.

Brass will develop a natural patina. I like the patina, it gives the jewelry an antique look. However, to shine up the brass, use a bit of lemon juice on a soft cloth and rub on the brass. Another option is to use a solution of warm water, salt and lemon juice in a shallow small bowl. I set the jewelry in the solution for less than a minute and then rinse well to remove the acid. Rub dry with a soft clean dry cloth.
